As Martha's comment came in I found the Video that I actually wanted to post :-)))
You are not allowed to pet whichever animal in the Park; but today is a National Festive Day and there were soooo many people here. No one bothered about the signs, and police didn't say anything when people pet the Iguanas or even laughed when their kids tried to jump on the tails of the poor non-agressive creatures.
As you all know I am fond of animals yet I respect them and shouldn't touch them.
This video gives you an impression of how 'chill' iguanas are.
In the 30 minutes being here I learned how well they climb trees, how fast they can run and also…
How curious they can be. Some of them really looked me in the eye! There was one sooo interested in me… Than I found some lettuce left overs near him, and fed him. I noticed how hard their jaws can close, so even though I didn't see teeth I think it might be painful. The little fella approached me, licking his mouth… Gazing at me, my hand, begging for more… He almost crawled on top of me and than he hesitated…
They are soooo fascinating! I would have loved to hold him so tat no one could hurt him <3
